Most kids look forward to the end of school, so they can ‘veg out’ at home on video games and social media. NOT at our school!
Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do students are motivated to finish their school day for other reasons. They can’t wait for the school to end and the martial arts learning to begin! From the time we pick them up from school to the time their parents take them home, our students are safe and entertained.
The Ellixson's Teaching Method is structured, carried out with the utmost sincerity, tried and true. We build strong kids here in Boyertown, since 1994.

Ellixson's AfterSchool Leadership Team
Melissa Swenk, Director
Melissa Swenk has been training in Martial Arts since 1983. As one of the original founders of Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy, she has been training, teaching, competing, judging, and
organizing national tournaments and events with her brother Donnie Ellixson, Jr. for 20+ years.
Mrs. Swenk has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a B.S. in Education from Kutztown University. She is certified to teach in the State of Pennsylvania.
She enjoys spending time with her husband Jon, and their two children Asia and Dylan, all of whom have trained at Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy.

Jana Ellixson, Assistant Director
Jana Ellixson is the co-owner of Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy. She has been training in the martial arts for 28 years and has had her black belt for 24+ of those years.
Mrs. Ellixson has been a preschool teacher at New Goshenhoppen Nursery School for the past 7 years. She is also an instructor at Ellixson's Tae Kwon Do Academy. She is driven by the concept of
"creating community" at Ellixson's and treating kids like her own, instilling confidence and character.
